Or at least making it as simple as Frenchly possible as our lovely @fabien would say!
Anyway, as you all know I have all my insurance policies with Fab (great service and a hassle free existence) and this is what I am always after when using suppliers.

As you may know when it comes to transferring my hard earned cash from euros to sterling and viva versa, I’m a big LUMON fan. I really appreciate the excellent and stress free customer service.
And there’s more!
Now you can automate regular overseas payments - mortgages, pensions, bills for example using their Regular Payment Plan or RPP. This ensures your payments are made on time, at competitive rates and without the hassle of manually transferring funds. You can manage your RPP through your online LUMON account and it’s a really great simple way to ensure that you never miss a payment. I highly recommend it!

We’ve been customers of Lumon (previously Foreign Currency Direct) since we came to France. We use their Regular Payment Plan (or RPP) on a monthly basis. And as an example - today the standing order from our UK Bank for the monthly amount took place. At 0958hrs we received an email saying :

Dear xxxxxx, We can confirm that we have received GBP xxxxxx from you into our Regular Payment Plan account and that today it has been converted at a commercial rate of exchange of xxxxxx to achieve you EUR xxxxxx. As always with Lumon’s Regular Payments, there are no fees or transfer charges, here or abroad. The payment should reach your designated RPP beneficiary account on Friday, February 27, 2026, however please be aware that it can take up to three working days.

And at 1032hrs the money was in our CA bank account. It’s as quick as that!
