I recently got a job back in South Dakota and so will be making a move back to the States mid-August. After 5+ years of living in France, I have amassed a fair amount of stuff. Obviously, My husband and I will be selling the big stuff. Most of it is IKEA anyway, but I definitely won't be able to move with just a suitcase. We have a one-year-old daughter now, in addition. This translates as .....more stuff. Anyway, I've been trying to find out "economical" ways to ship via ocean freight, etc., but am having a very hard time finding any clear information. We really don't need a moving company, I don't think. Has anyone out there had to organize and pay for a move themselves, and if so, can you direct me to any helpful resources? Thank you for any information you can provide me with.
