New SF Resource - Regular Currency Market Updates!

As part of my one woman campaign to make your life in France as fabulous as possible (!), I’ll be providing you with regular currency updates, news and info from our trusted FOREX partners LUMON

Here’s the first - pour yourself a nice cup of tea (or something stronger!) and enjoy

US Election: The polls are showing a close race. :us: President Trump has a slight lead, but either way, the result could impact global confidence and shake up USD and Middle Eastern currencies. If Trump gets in, the USD may strengthen, giving US buyers more power. If Harris wins, we might see the USD weaken instead. :chart_with_downwards_trend::dollar:

FED & BOE Announcements: Both central banks are expected to cut rates on Thursday, which is mostly priced in. But keep an eye on their commentary—could be interesting, especially with a possible new US President and the BOE’s reaction to last week’s UK budget! :speech_balloon: :uk: :us:

Market Impacts to consider:

  • Are you planning a big move?: We’re expecting some large swings this week, which could impact your international plans. Be sure to have a currency plan— Get in contact to discuss more on how we can assist! :key:

  • USD/Middle Eastern Buyers moving to France: Your budgets are up 2.7% compared to the beginning of October, making a €500k property $12.7k cheaper. :money_with_wings::house:

  • GBP/EUR: Moved 1% over the last 7 days, making a €500k property change in value by £5k. Currency planning should not be a last thought!

So there you have it people - if any of this might affect your plans, do get in touch with Lumon for some sound advice and great customer service.

Thank you petal!

My personal pension fund, which is weighted towards US stocks, has shown a slight downward dip in the last couple of weeks (though it’s back up a tad today), so I am awaiting the news from the US with some nervousness.

(And yes I know that pension funds go up and down all the time and it’s nothing to worry about unduly - except when we get a Lettuce Event…)

FWIW, this is the moment you may have been waiting for to sell all and any bitcoin you may be holding :moneybag:

I dabbled a few years ago and have a couple of hundred quid in various Twitcoins - it would be nice if they went back up to what I paid for them…
