I have put the money aside for what I estimate it will be but I wouldn’t put it past them to suddenly take it from my account without warning.

That is what I cannot do.
All reference to my payments of income tax have disappeared from my online account. The tax d’habitation and fonciere are still there and the prelévèments are being taken, so it seems they are still aware of my existance.
I have received a reply from the impôts. Apparently my uk pensions should have been entered in a different part of my declaration than in previous years.
They were very helpful. Giving me instructions on how to correct this online, which I have done.
If I have got it right this time the prélèvements will commence in march.
