New Triumph Bonneville/discount

In an effort to prolong my life/licence, I'm selling my Street Triple and (probably) going for a Bonnie. Does anyone know if French dealers give a discount on the new price of a bike if there's no part-ex involved, as they do in the UK?

Hi Peter,

Yes, it's gone:)

Speaking from experience, the cost of re-registering it over here eats most of any potential gain and, whilst asking prices may be a lot higher than in the UK, the actual sale price is somewhat different.

Hi Glyn,
Did your bike sell, if not do you have a link to the current ebay offer?

Peter

Seems the question has already been answered shop around the name of the game is haggle having bought all types of machinery pull a face at the price and walk away i did it last night with bois de chauffage the guy said 57€ i pulled a face and walked away it suddenly dropped to 50€ a stere

Thanks.

I have bought 2 new bikes in France (CBF600 & GSX1400) and got a good discount on both of them.

Shop around and good luck.

Hi Peter,

The Striple is on ebay in the UK as I never registered it over here.

Hi Glyn,
I have never purchased a new bike in France, so I do not know the answer but others may.
In regards to your street triple are you selling that privately instead of trading it, or is it based in the UK. I have a Speedmaster which I think has the same motor as the Bonnie.
Best Regards Peter
