Newsletter

First of all, thank you all for my birthday greetings, wishes and cards! Excessive consumption of birthday champagne has delayed this weeks’s SFN newsletter but better late than never…

It seems to have been a very busy week on the website front. Maybe it has got something to do with the weather? SFN members have all stopped cleaning their gites and pools and are now huddled by the fire, launching new dot com ventures.....

Natasha Wright has launched a Guide to Brittany site and is also running the Brittany Chat group on SFN so if you live in or are planning to visit this beautiful area, do check these out.

Kathryn Dobson has been her normally busy self and has managed to have a hand in the relaunch of both ERF - Equine Rescue France and Discover Poitou-Charentes. Rachel Loos is running DCP and has just relaunched the new SFN group of the same name - the DCP site has a great daily what's on feature so do check it out. And for those of you who had joined the old Poitou Charente group on the SF network - please do come and join the new one as we have lots planned!

Wendy Wise wants to let SF members know that if they are looking for French tuition, on-line, in person, in a class or a total immersion situation, she can help! Just check out facilitutors.com for details.

And Barbara Walton has pointed out that there are lots of autumn festivals and fetes in the Limousin and on 31 October 2010 Dournazac is holding a Journée de la Châtaigne' - with talks about chestnuts, a communal meal, cider, exhibitions and loads more. Entry is 2€ which sounds like a bargain day out!

Last but not least, Gina Hams has had puppies! Okay so it was actually Lizzie the dog who had the puppies but you can see the pics of mum and pups in the Dogs group and I'm sure in a few weeks time, Gina will be looking for some nice, new homes for the pups....

Have a great week!
