Yes I know about US modifications and additives and avoid Twinkies and Hershey bars like the plague. There are also many products with GMO in the list of “ingredients” but I think people ignore that. One place to avoid for new travellers is Tco B*ll, the trots is for afters!
Just avoid All American food, sickest nation the planet.

We’ve just arrived back in France and I was about to post a question about shipping my phone back to France following repair.
It developed a fault while we were in the UK and, fortunately, it was still under warranty (John Lewis) so I sent it off for repair. Sod’s law being what it is, I was notified that it was being returned yesterday, the day after we left.
So, I was going to ask if there was some cunning method to get the repaired phone back to France without incurring customs charges but, while the repair and shipping status says “delivered”, it certainly hasn’t been delivered to me! 
A happy chap is a bit less happy at the moment.
Coming to France (Calais) on the 23rd if that helps?

Once the phone is in Calais, it can be sent (UPS or La Poste) within France with no import duty

Indeed, but I wouldn’t want to put Corona to any more trouble plus I still don’t actually have the phone yet, it’s still missing in action.

Where abouts in the uk should your phone be getting delivered? We have family coming over to the Vienne in the coming months from différent parts of England. If it could be got to them, they could bring it over.

It should be coming to the Glasgow area and if your family could help, that would be fantastic. Fingers crossed that it actually turns up.
