Now, Greg Wallace!

An absolute odious person.
Now we can watch Masterchef with proper chef presenters.

What bought that on? I agree he is a gurning idiot who knows little about cooking but I don’t feel that strongly (but then prefer Australian Masterchefr anyway) .

The French Top Chef is best!

But they are so nasty to contestants at times that I stopped watching.

It’s going to be impossible for Beeb to find a presenter who hasn’t shouted at someone or told a dirty joke at work at this rate.

Agree - I dislike Wallace but he is very much a product of his times. A Peckham barrow boy is not likely to develop into a refined person who tells jokes about philosophy.

I’ve never noticed that ! Perhaps you’re talking about past years.

I’ve never understood why he was on MasterChef. Like an unruly loud heckler.
We only watched the shows without him. Couldn’t stomach him at all. Hope it’s more than a temporary absence from M C. We wouldn’t watch other shows he appears in but do really enjoy M C without him.

Bring back Ainsley Harriott

That could open an entirely different can of worms

Or can of beans

No, wait, hang on - that would be Haricot, not Harriott

And prone to ripping off his top before lady cookers, according to the World at One. What’s not to like, especially when your soufflet (whatever that is) is about to rise? :joy:

It was ages ago, and we watched one episode where M Le Top Chef reduced a contestant to tears. That is not entertainment to me so never watched again. Maybe a one-off, but made me have no faith in the producers.

No, but he certainly knows his fruit and veg.

Most unwise of him to go ‘potty-mouth’/topless in the presence of Kirsty Wark, of all people.

Just desserts …

Rightly or wrongly this will probably end his career, I’m not a great fan of the guy but I do find it strange that someone like Kirsty Wark didn’t feel able to speak out 13 years ago.

Is that part of the cook a meal from 3 ingredients show?

With any luck this will help to bring an end to the interminable chefing that seems to almost constantly fill the TV schedules.

Master chef & it’s spin-offs must be very cheap to make…
