Perhaps it’s my background, or the world we live in but I assumed a cyber attack when I read the headline, but it appears to be physical acts of sabotage.
I think that sort of attack possibly fits in more with the French psyche. Probably much harder to get caught in France as well.

Thank goodness we live in the country and it seems as though the line serving Lyon and further south was saved.
They must have had some intelligence to foil this attack, or jumpedust cock up.

Exactly! Yet none of the media I’ve read, or viewed today have mentioned the obvious culprit, while few used the word ‘sabotage’. this morning
3 attacks, plus another unsuccessful one the day before the Olympics opens seems a bit of a coincidence though.
But I agree, no point trying to make a point if no-one knows you are trying to make it, or what it is.

Just talking to friends who have a gite here in L&G. Their guests who live in Paris have just cancelled because they have no means of getting here. They were supposed to be coming down by TGV.
The gossip is 850,000 people have been affected by the sabotage. We were discussing the impending scenario - people not being able to leave Paris, so not being able to vacate their properties for incoming visitors.
Any of you from the Paris area, is it really this bad?
I’m around Paris and I suspect most Parisiens have already left, it’s been very quiet the last few days.
