Does anyone know where one can purchase pinebark woodchip sold by the trailer load between Morlaix and Carhaix for the purpose of weed suppression in garden borders?
Looks like Hortalis which has a distributor near Morlaix do écorce du pin en vrac and in cubic metre big bags.

Don’t use it too often, as pine can add too much acidity to your soil.
I think they also do poplar chippings which wouldn’t engender the acidity issue.
Much better and would rot more slowly too.
Excellent - écorce du pin en vrac - that’s the expression for pine mulch I was looking for . There’s a Hortalis in Carhaix but I never spotted it there - I presumed it was sold by forestry products agents / sawmills etc.
Sawmills don’t often as too much of a pain to separate the bark. It often goes as BRF to local recycling centre. We have one near us, and 250kg car load of composted BRF costs 8€. You have to shovel it yourself, but at that price who cares! Or ask a local arboriculturalist.
