Poems to remember

Here is a poem for those of us who have lost "a best friend"

Though you cannot hug me anymore ,I can you.I am that warm feeling in the small of your back when all else feels cold.

Though you cannot talk to me anymore,I can you.I am that missed word in a conversation and that whisper on the breeze.

Though you cannot see me clearly anymore,I can you.I watch over you daily,I am that image in the corner of your eye.

Though you cannot wait for us to be together again,I can you.

Live, love and laugh.Live your life as though I am there.

Enjoy yourself.I am with you everyday, not so very faraway.

It is true, Melissa, most don't need the invitation!!

I think I'd heard bits of it before, Regina, but the 'whole' is lovely.

"Come on in" for sure ... my first cat, three years ago, camping near the bird feeder. This was taken just a few days after he showed up.

Opening my heart to him was one of the smartest things I ever did.

The middle of the bed, indeed!

Thanks for sharing Lynn!

Thanks for posting it, Lynn! This is lovely! I had read it somewhere once before and now I am going to save it.

I can so relate to it - having been in such a situation quite a few times! :-)
