Pool robot recommendations

Does anyone have any recommendations for a pool robot.

Our pool is 15m and most I’ve seen in pool shops or advertised are for up to max 12m.

It has to be able to clean walls and steps; handle a pool bottom that slopes greatly from shallow to deep, and is auto, ie not worked with cable etc but remote controlled.

Thanks in anticipation

Our robot is a Zodiac, bought 4 years ago and going strong. The pool is salt and 14m.

Given the open topic heading I thought some may want a more lovable robot

*Doesn’t clean pools.

You may find this link about pool robots interesting

Interesting for a guide but whatever they claim can be taken with a pinch of salt. Phases like the smarter option. Owned many different ones and still clean manually, quicker, dont miss bits slower moving so as not to stir up the settled dirt and €800 lower cost. Pools are settling tanks the day after you robot has a lot of dirt reapeared? If so its just stiring up the dirt.

I have to admit that this year, I have not used the robot, instead vaccing into the filter with a quick backwash after.

I am not an expert on these things, but of the ones I have owned, seen and used, Dolphin appear the best!

Dolphins are made in Israel…

Oh, and if you do buy a robot - DO make sure it has an anti-twist joint in the cable…

Also stearable from a control panel as they miss bits and do not learn your pool. There are cordless versions now, probably better.

This looks kinda cool!

Interesting.

It took me 35mins to maually clean my pool this morning and I almost but not quite took a picture of the tea towel I put in the skimmer to collect fine stuff. It was a gentle vacuum collecting all the muck leaving the water clear unlike most robots that stir it all up only to have it resettle a day or so later. If your water turns hazy after vacuuming thats dirt that will fall to the floor again.

We bought the WYBOT vision and it’s saved hours. Cleaning our pool manually took around an hour daily.
With this you programme it and throw it in. The only bit it misses is the 90 degree corners and the top step of the Roman stairs (not enough depth of water )

Now either you have a lot of dirt and leaves falling in or you were sucking it up and blowing it back in?

No, all going to waste but a big 15x6 pool

We are in a rural village location with lots of trees one side and Buddleja the other so yes, lots of falling debris

Ah yes that would take a while.

Most should end up in the skimmers before it sinks all being well.

But it’s soooo cool, how could one resist? (and It’s not Israeli like my Zodiac).

I did not know that Zodiac robots are made in Israel. I thought only Maytronics Dolphin are Israeli.

From a quick Google Adam it look like you are right, they are Spanish. I feel a lot better now :slightly_smiling_face:
