Hi … Would love to see loads of funny and unusual dog pics on here, so sort out your pics and put them on with details etc…
Gina
He did not look impressed with the t-shirt - maybe he wanted one with Superdog on it, lol. It's so hard when you lose them and I don't think you ever forget. He looks a complete character, an adorable face. If you have any more photos, you can either type the text in the box first, then select the image icon, or load the photo, do a couple of returns and type your text - it should appear after the picture. Depends which way you want to do it.
I couldn't find anywhere to add text to go with picture.
This was my beautiful Sammy, sadly departed in Dec last year, still miss him daily, as does his brother!
He cut his tummy open when he was younger and to stop him licking the wound we put a t-shirt on him! lol
What's he doing on the coffee table, lol! He looks like he's waiting for you to serve him a bowl of tea. Totally adorable.
Our Gordon Setters Haka & Harley, their mum Baya and our little Dachshund Stella
Bathing an Old English Sheepdog can be fun i get as wet as the dogs, back in the uk i could strip off while showering them now i have to do it outside so perhaps not a good idea
Yep ours too, the others are much too big and have to go in the bath, it is quite a fight! this one, japenese Spitz, is easy, once you have caught him! He has very long white fur and is SO cute but gats filthy in the winter, so in the bath! Of course he hasn't got real fur it is hair and has to be conditioned afterwards so you can brush it........ He moans the whole time but lets me do it! And when he is clean!!!!!!!!!! WOW he is pretty!
Ha ha ha ha, poor little thing. I wish I could dump mine in the sink - they stink! But the weather's been too cold to shower them because they take 2-3 hours to dry. The chase will be on when it warms up a bit!
But I dont want a bath!!!
That's so funny! Did he actually fall asleep with his head still in the bowl? What a piglet!
Aw!!
Ha ha ha, I don't blame him. I wouldn't go up there either.
The dogs in transit, for their safety they always travelled in their cages they even knew which one to get into
Do i really have to go up there
That's a superb photo, Suzann, and your story shows just how much impact love, affection and a little patience can have. You've completely turned the lives of these little guys around. Two of our family are rescue dogs: one from the SPA in Malta and the other from PoorPaws here in France, another great organisation. I truly hope the refuges haven't been inundated over the holidays, especially with the weather about to change and temperatures plummeting. They already have enough to contend with. So good on you, you have a wonderful family there (even though Wilfred doesn't look too impressed with his chapeau).
The photo that is supposed to be with my story is refusing to download...but it is funny...believe me!
"I told you, don't wear the hat....I NEVER wear the hat...."
My two gorgeous rescue dogs, Wilfred the 'almost' beagle and Eric the Teckel.
They were both returned 3 times to the Refuge Lotois in Cahors, Wilfred had supposedly 'had a fit' and Eric peed in the house. Not really surprising for a dog who had probably never even lived indoors. Needless to say he took no time to house train, watchfulness, patience and time...it's not rocket science!
Wilfred has shown no signs of seizures in his 7 months with us. He was just a stressed out little man who needed a quiet life. I took him on after my Jack Russell, Banksy, died as a result of an adder bite. I was devastated by his death but wanted to try and make his death count for something by taking on a dog that nobody would home. Wilfred took time to settle in with us but he is now a happy, clean, contented member of the gang....if a little eccentric!
I am an avid follower of Doglinks france. This site, run by an amazing woman called Evelyn, tries to find permanent and foster homes for abandoned dogs from various refuges and SPAs....there are a lot of amazing people out there doing great work for dogs. Take a look if you don't know them already, there are some marvelous, heartwarming stories.
Not my pics, but there are some sweet pups here
