Reinitialising a wifi card

My son's laptop (3 months old) is still recognising that there is a wireless network to be picked up, but cannot connect to internet. Then we get the message "reinitialiser carte wifi".


If we connect the Lan cable, it connects to internet.


Toshiba satellite c660d, windows 7, esetnod antivirus


Does anyone have any solutions or ideas?

Do you have a boot CD from your service provider, like the one with Orange Livebox? It worked a treat booting up for my girls when we appeared to have a similar problem. Have your ten thousand various passwords, numbers, shoe sizes and inner leg measurements ready just in case. If you've tried that already you may say "Shut up, Brian" and I shall pass with further bright ideas.
