We are moving to France and will be buying in the Lot Garonne but we will need a rental property to bridge the gap for a few months. Can anyone help. July and August but could be longer, 3 bedrooms, pool, country location, large garden for us and our two well behaved dogs.
Hilary,
Thanks for those comments, particularly the one on notaires. We cannot be particular about location given the time of the year. We may even have to go much further into the country, somewhere like the Auvernge. If necessary we might even go to Spain and have little break!
What town are you aiming for? You do realise that you have a big ask? and that for that period you'll be paying an immense premium because anywhere like that will command highest rates over the summer letting period? (think 1K/week ...) You might do better buying an old caravan and parking up for that period; & then at least you can realise the value of the van afterwards.
Otherwise, try contacting the Immobiliers/Notaires/Banks to ask if anyone (vendors) on their books would be willing to let awaiting a sale - you might get a better deal than going through the standard letting agencies/routes (leboncoin.fr/pap.fr/seloger.com/visastreet.fr, etc).
Best of luck.
