Roofer looking for work in France

If you are reliable and sensibly priced there’s plenty of work in Oxfordshire, and no trouble over permits and registration. Builders and roofers are really hard to get round here.

Thanks for replying.

Assuming you are a British National, you’ll have seen that you need to apply to France, for permission to come to work here.

Whilst speaking French fluently is not absolutely necessary… it really is a good idea to have a basic understanding … otherwise, all the paperwork/applications etc etc…
it’s just all going to be so much gobbledygook … with you not knowing what you’ve said Yes/No to… etc etc.

Thus, if you’re truly set on France (or whichever foreign language country)… I suggest you start taking basic lessons.

Not knowing your age group… only you can decide if “going back to school” like this is going to be worth it in the long run.

As we’ve said, whatever working qualification you might already hold, will need to be approved/accredited in France… which is another hurdle to be faced.
But it can be done, although sometimes with the need for additional training (to ensure you are up to French standards in workmanship/regulations etc).

I hope this is of some use to you… and wish you well in whatever you decide.
