I know it was discussed on here from the outset.

He is loathsome.

Certainly is, doubt we’ll hear much of him now.

Never understood how he became ā€œpopularā€. Obnoxious, unfunny, rude and ignorant with no talent is how I see him. All the bad’uns coming out of the closets at the moment it seems.

I think the way he speaks resonates with a certain level of youngsters.

Swallowed a thesaurus and became the idiot’s idea of an intelligent person.

I was being diplomatic, something I stuggle with but well put John :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Odious character.

Seems UK youth are being influenced by the most unpleasant selection of male media hogs. The revolting Tate brothers providing a lighter version of black rappers. For all this I blame ubiquitous online obsession.

However, as bad as it is in UK, could be worse. Note facsistas revival in Spain

Evening Corona et al!; !brand, musk, the appalling tates and the orange one should all be locked up. Le Pen perhaps will be. they had better sort out the appeal, I think she should be allowed to to run in 27 but her headquarters? A prison cell. Or there’ll be a lot of trouble

From News Thump -

I said nothing when they came for Andrew Tate, I said nothing when they came for Russell Brand, I said nothing when they came for Laurence Fox, and I remain perfectly comfortable with all of those decisions

Is there a bit of a backlash against le pen and her popularity actually increasing, petition to not jail etc.
Meanwhile a labour MP Dan Norris has been arrested for allegedly rape.

what a shower. Sartre had a point: ā€œhell is other peopleā€

They used to say the Labour scandals were always about money and with the Tories always sex.

Perhaps the modern Labour party really are ā€œred Toriesā€.

As for Starmer, I don’t think he is nearly as bad as the naysayers would have it but he has made some avoidable gaffs and I don’t think he has the imagination to do what is necessary to get the country back on track.

Which is a problem, because I don’t think anyone else does either, certainly not Farage, Badenoch, or Corbyn. Probably not Ed Davey either.
