Parking ‘accidents’ are quite common as I well know.
The estimate for the do called damage came just under the level at which the insurance kicked in.

Worse I was prosecuted by the gendarmerie , but the Procureur wasn’t interested.
You can buy a cheap dash cam on eBay for 10 to 15 euros. Worth its weight in gold!
