Woke up this morning (in Grasse) to some light snow on the palm trees which gradually got heavier through the day. Lost power a couple of times for a couple of hours. Quite a few large branches have fallen due to the weight of the snow and we are officially snowed in, at least as far as the car goes. We ventured into town on foot, but the main street is closed due to fallen pine branches, again from the weight of the snow. In over 10 years, we’ve had snow settle here a couple of times, but never over a foot like today! Nice airport is in chaos. See photos I’m just about to post.
