Soregies website problem

I know there are a few Soregies customers here and I’d be interested to know if you can access your account.

I keep getting an error message and I’m wondering if it’s a general issue or specific to me. Ta.

I can access my account

Thanks, I guess I need to call them and see what’s going, especially if they want their bill paid.

Got into my Soregies account no problem

Hmm, stranger and stranger. On a hunch I tried to login with my wife’s email address and it seems that they’ve changed the account login from me to Mrs H at some point in the last two months.

Things got very confused when they charged their systems a while ago such that the statements went to my wife’s email address but mine was the account login. I guess they’ve “fixed” that.

More concerning is that May’s bill is showing as unpaid but I have the bank statement showing that it has been. I’m quite surprised we haven’t been cut off.

I’m going to pop into the office after lunch as it will be easier to show the evidence face to face.

A fellow Soregies customer here.

You aren’t alone. This is what I get when I try to access my account:

I’ve tried clearing cookies and my VPN is disabled but I’ve been getting this result since Friday 10 July.

Funnily enough, for a few days before that I’d been getting a ‘site maintenance/data not available’ message when I visited the Linky site to check my consumption figures.

That’s exactly the message I get. Is your account in joint names?

No - Sole name and I’ve only ever had one account with them.

Edit to add: I’ve emailed to ask if there a web problem - I’ll report back when I hear anything.

I think they’re having issues. We didn’t get an email for May’s bill* and when I try to pay now, the due balance changes to zero. We also get a popup now that says out account number has changed.

*I’m usually quite good at keeping on top of these things but we were a bit pre-occupied in May. I can see us going back to paper bills if we can’t depend on them for emails.

Well of course!

Ours is set up in my sole name and they’re authorised to make a deduction direct from the bank account, in case that might make a difference.

A quick update to say that I’ve not yet had a reply from Soregies. Has anyone else got to the bottom of this?

I have given up waiting for an email reply so phoned them.

They are moving to a new IT system. The bit where you had to choose a new log in and/or password happened in May. However, the migration of getting the billing info associated with the new accounts is taking longer than anticipated.

Although my bill for this month was due on the 10th, it is apparently nowhere near being issued. Their advice was to wait patiently for “one, two, maybe many, weeks".

So, patientez, mes amis, patientez

It seems they’re at it again. Yesterday, they reissued July’s bill with yesterday’s date on it and showing as paid.
There’s also a new bill for €210 showing as issued today but, when I try to click on it, it doesn’t download.

The Soregies website has been working perfectly for me since about 28th July - perhaps your account data is still being transferred. From the info I was given, the data migration appears to be a slow and rather hit-or-miss process.

Popped into the office today and all is now clear.

The bill (bill number 1) in July was an estimate because they couldn’t read the Linky, perhaps due to the IT migration, so, when the ability to read the meter was restored they issued bill number 2, which cancelled bill number 1, and issued bill number 3 a day later. Confused? You will be…

So (sorry @Peter_Bird ), we’ve paid a bill for €328, had a subsequent bill cancelling the €328 and a final bill for €210, which is asking to be paid. Apparently we should just ignore the payment demand as we’re well in credit, even though the espace client shows us as needing to pay it. I’m sure it will all come out in the wash.

On the upside, it well at least end the confusion as to why we seemed to have used twice as much power as the same period last year.

Sorry, what’s that to do with me ?

Never heard of Soregies JohnM.

Sorry, a failed attempt at cross posting humour.
