Steam Trains

Longest trip I’ve made on a train was Whitehaven Cumbria, to Berlin, in I think, 55, that was an adventure, went to visit ‘big bro’ who was there, doing his National Service, before that, the year before, we went Whitehaven to Gottingen that was a trip too, but not through the then East Germany.

Watched half of that Stella, interesting and entertaining, many thanks, rest tonight probably.:slightly_smiling_face:

It’s rubbish Stella, I blame Mrs B’, her English is perfect, so I don’t try much, only when She lets me out alone, but I will ‘read the pictures’. Thanks a Lot! :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes. It must have been before 1961 because my father was there. I remember stopping off at the inn at Boot for lunch.
