Stuff from the old group worth keeping

Get Together
Here is a link for a well established ex pat group in the Deux Sevres called Get Together. Lots of activities - walks, book clubs etc

Accents
The Accents Mothers and Toddlers are meeting up at various parks every

Thursday during the holidays - they’ll be at the Rejallent just outside

Ruffec tomorrow morning from 10 (as long as the weather improves!).

It’s open to everyone not just toddlers and is a great way to meet new friends. For more info check out the website http://www.accents-asso.fr/ or join our facebook group http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=187944468762&ref=ts

Bored in the Poitou-Charentes - never!

If you’re spending time in this region you’ll find there’s always
something new to keep you interested, whether you’re here for a couple
of weeks or have your home here.

If you’re only happy when you have a pencil, brush or craft tool in your
hand there are all sorts of art and craft courses on offer, such as
stone carving, pottery, decoupage, painting and drawing.
Perhaps your home or your wardrobe needs a makeover, if so you’ll find
a range of sewing courses run by Sue Hazell including setting up a
sewing business. Or give yourself a makeover for that special occasion with beauty expert Suzanne Thorne.

There are cookery courses for vegetarians with the excellent David Tomlinson
or for omnivores with the delightful May Cadogan and bespoke wine
holidays with the Blakemans.

If you’re a country boy or girl at heart you can try your hand at archery or angling, learn to a tie a fly and make lures. Or you could spend a day with the Garland family and their herd of
alpacas and learn to spin their fleece - that's Christophe in the
picture.

You can also brush up your French, make sure your children don’t forget
their English and stay ahead in maths, learn to play classical guitar….

You can find all these splendid courses and more on www.facilitutors.com or call Wendy Wise on 05 46 33 09 89

PS If you’re looking for a course or a tutor and not finding it, let me know and I’ll do my best to track it down for you.
