Tar Stains

I have tar stains on the outside stone work where an old woodburning stove flue used to be. I think it has been caused by rainwater when the flue was blocked. Any advice on how to remove the stains please.

Not if you use it all up (wink)

The worst will roll off down the wall but wipe it off with paper towel (you'll need a roll) and subsequent applications will lighten the stones bit by bit still not completed all of mine but happy with the result considering how bad it was.

Thanks John, I’ll give it a try…suppose I’ll have to clean the oven as well…

Foaming oven cleaner, the tar will run off so make sure you have something on the floor.
