The Great Gin Famine

Oh my days, that gave me a laugh. I have done the same but I measure to what I fancy now, too old to be told off and whether I am going out or not when I never drink and drive, not worth the risk if caught

That’s my opinion too, though I don’t intend to move far and still have the electric trike if I lost the permis. The first alcohol to pass my lips each day is the apero just before evening meal. But I can’t imagine why anybody would pay all that money for gin and only use the 25m jigger.

Cocktails most likely when you just have a taster

I can hardly taste 50m even with only a restrained tonic to accompany it. But I sense you are leading me astray, ditch the jigger and go back to one bottle a week.

But I am ahead of the game today, a tiny bit of G & T left in my glass and then I have time for a kir before dinner in 10 minutes time. Then there’s the Porto Blanco and cafe Calvados to set me up for bed.

What is it that @Stella says? Oh yes, hic.

Well they do say a little of what you fancy does you good  :cocktail_glass:

With an emphasis on the word ‘little’

One persons little could be another persons big

If you’re drinking Gordon’s, that’s why: minimal flavour and the alcohol just adds a bit of warmth in the tonic if you make a strong one. Greenalls isn’t much better, and even Bombay sapphire. I don’t know what to recommend in France and all my favourite gins are out of stock on Amazon. Tanqueray does at least taste of something compared to the other name brands.

Yep.

A quick search reveals plenty of artisanal gin is available, but you have to go looking.

Our SuperU does Tanq.
