Stage II of the Ma Prime Renov (following the windows update) involves re-insulating the ceilings in. 300mm thick wood wool. No idea of the quantities but glad I’m not doing it!…

Looks like wood fibre like steico, more than wood wool which is very rigid and more strands than fibre.
Very impressed with the sound adsorption of wood fibre so you should be warm and quiet

You’re so lucky you got in, apparently it’s been cancelled and there are thousands of dossiers hanging. Gutted I kept putting it off 
I thought that the process was back?…might be worth checking??

Ah that’s a pity for those in need…and maybe it will be revived soon.
It’s not been renewed because there hasn’t been a vote on the 2026 budget, but presumably there will be one very soon, otherwise there’ll be mayhem (and not just from prospective renovators).

Indeed that’s why its suspended, as the article says. It took till almost the end of Feb last year to get a budget passed and the continuation is only till the end of January so we’ll have to see. There’s also no certainty that it will be in the new budget when it finally arrives but I think that’s unlikely.
It that joined up thinking and process again, big plans to reduce this or that to save the world, then they move back the date when they realise they cannot achieve the target date just like EV’s. Where is the thought process of how to actually achieve it. I am not picking on France, I think they are far better than the UK on these matters.
