Good one Peter! Just goes to reinforce the view that Brexiteers have been, and are being played like fiddles!:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Putin and Trump think Brexit is a good idea. What could possibly go wrong?

We have sent a gunboat to Ukraine.
Perhaps now Putin will understand that we mean business!

The UK government has sent a Royal Navy Hydrographic Survey vessel. HMS Echo is designed primatily to map the seabed. It does not have much armament and can hardly be described as a ā€œgunboatā€. I got that information from Wikipedia, I susoect that Russia knows that toošŸ˜‰

Putin describes HMS Echo as a ā€œspy shipā€, an odd description since spies are usually meant to be secret. It is quite a large vessel , painted battleship grey and from a distance is clearly a part of someone’s navy.

Of course it’s a spy ship, there is no way that it would be there without the means to gather information.

A couple of 20mm and mini- guns , the Russians must be shitting themselves :joy:.

Sad thing is, her sister ship is HMS Enterprise :rocket:

I only heard that it was a ā€˜Warship’.

Putin must be laughing his head off.

Meanwhile in EU: …Brussels has urged European governments to take a generous approach to protecting the rights of 1 million Britons living in the EU if the UK leaves without a deal…

Since the Russians annexed the Crimea it’s important to demonstrate that international seaways are open. What better way than to send a survey ship. The Ukrainians might already be the 21st century Poles.

What exactly is blowing your mind? I have seen some incredible things whilst on this planet but my mind has stayed intact. Can’t stand ā€œTabloid speakā€

Ouch! Sometimes…language is cultural…

I’d always presumed that the phrase had its roots in the ā€˜60s hippy culture.

Recent events blow my mind:

  • Novichok, is that a warning to UK politicians to soften criticism ? Any politician who has made commitments to Russia should be alarmed, if not afraid. Rees-Mogg, Farage and BJ might be quite intimidated, after all, conservatives are in general afraid of living. (I know, I know, not very correct thing to say so, but think about it).

  • Putins best weapon are the conservatives in USA and UK, to me that is quite more that expected, the openness of it all.

  • NRA in USA : Maria Butina case.

  • Russia succeeded over expectations in influencing Elections in USA and Brexit campaign: and that it did not create more uproar.

And now Putin even comments on fulfilling Brexit, still no reaction from the ’ public’. Jeez…
