This Site, Just an Observation

Fond memories of dinner parties in a gentrified part of London in the 80s. Mid week, never friday or the weekend. Guys in suits, girls in nice frocks and big hair. Champagne. Move to dining room. Silver on display. Table laid with correct cutlery for each course. Three different wine glasses and a water glass. Starter with white wine. Main with red wine. Pudding with dessert wine. Ladies withdrew (yes really) to Drawing Room while the lads got down to port or Madeira and business or story telling. Sometimes, with good friends, games like the Texas Lassoo trick. It was a different century after all.

It is always lunch with us.
