They must be very good at sniffing out any treats. I reckon he must have climbed up and dropped inside, and he wasn’t in any hurry to leave. Speaking of fat balls, I found a toad in the birds’ fat ball box earlier this week (empty of balls but half full of water). He was a bit bloated but, when saved, crawled determinedly back into his hole under the terrace.

We never saw our toad last year… and he has lived on our terrace for several years… felt his absence since he is wonderful at keeping “nasties” under control…
hoping he finds his way back to us soon…
Meanwhile… here is another visitor we might get again this year

OH rescued one from our cat the other day…she’ll terrorize anything.
Portes Ouvertes de Cadillac cotes de Bordeaux - Lovely wine and fabulous old cars - All virtual this year so no degustation - or classic cars. What a shame.
