I do miss Karneval.
Brilliant… 
Never been to a carnival, my ‘partner’ once bought tickets and took me to Nice to see the carnival, it was cancelled because of high winds ! 
Granville Carnival is an experience. Last time I went was just after Charlie Hebdo. There was a lot of emotion around.
I lived in Dusseldorf loong time ago, great times. Still a very nice city & people.
An evening in the Altstadt still takes a bit of beating.

I used to go to Dr Jazz, and I lived on Rathinger Strasse. Lots of Kneipes are no more, sadly.
