To lose one Prime Minister is careless

It seems that Lecornu has resigned

What a mess…

So much infighting amongst all politicians that no one is given half a chance to do the job. All the likes of MLP and the other nasties want to do is cause trouble for whoever is in charge instead of trying to get this country out of the mess it has made of things.

It makes us feel less outsiders seeing another country that sheds prime ministers so quickly.

Truly there are so many similarities it’s frightening WTF is going on? Sack the economists and get in people who don’t just join in with the super rich at one big lunch club, back to basics oh and take a few more pounds/euros off the mega rich to help fund it.

Time for the 6th Republic.

It is also down to those who refuse to accept the inevitable fact that their pension age has to rise and that France has the lowest retirement age in Europe.

I dont see how any blame can be attributed to economists. As others have said its the self indulgent politicians with entrenched views who are the cause of the problem. The same the world over.

Your absolutely right no one is to blame. It’s all going so well.

The answer from the economists lips is just like that of a parent not wishing to spoil their child. No, you can’t have that.

Either that or education of economists is wrong.

Proving once again, that it is mightier than the sword (though less helpful facing somebody waving a sword).

My point is that ‘economists’ have no control over the political arena. In fact they have no ‘control’ over anything. They are advisers and commentators so I still fail to see how any blame can be laid at their door.

Macron will be gone by xmas.

He has no cards left to play but to resign. Or be resigned by others.

Bet anyone ten euros he will be gone.

What a complete embarrassment for France.

“Or be resigned by others”

How would that work exactly?

I am watching BFM at the moment. It doesn’t look good for Macron.

He can’t string this out for another 18 months.

Who is going to want or stupid enough to be the next PM.

I reckon Macron will be forced into resignation. There is no other option.

He’ll do anything to see out the term and has even suggested running again in 2032, how can he be forced out?

Dunno

But he his toast.

He will not last 18 months

Thankfully

I am guessing people will be out in force across France.

He had a 17% approval rating a week back. Today it must be near zero.

I cannot see Macron resigning. It would only make matters worse; further elections would probably hand power to the extremists of one stripe or another, which he would want to avoid; and in any event, M Larcher would not appear to be a replacement who could command the National Assembly.

I think France should rebrand and call themselves ItalyV2

Be careful what you wish for. After Macron, the situation may get much, much worse. I’m afraid the general population of France, as that of UK, has no intention of pulling up their socks.
