Transferring photos from iphone to pc

@David_Spardo sorry, my phone is a samsung and my personal computer is windows

@CaptainMorgan
OH has his own samsung A15 phone and his chromebook linked so everything is available automatically on both.

re my own phone he tells me I am lacking something (no surprises) and he will investigate :rofl: Aha.. seems I need to download “phototransfer” to my phone… if I decide life is impossible without it :rofl:

Try sending yourself an email from the phone to your computer just as a test to see if that works.

Already did AM, nothing happened no email arrived.

Any ideas on my question about Android phones or ones which are neither that or Apple?

David, use your Mac, it’s (obviously :slightly_smiling_face:) fully compatible with your iPhone. Just plug it in and the photos should transfer to the Photos library.

I’m a bit confused M. Lapin, if you were replying to David, I didn’t think he had a Mac.
If me, yep all straight forward now I’ve got rid of the cloud storing stuff I didn’t want it to. I’ll happily admit to being useless on with most tech, mainly because I’ve no real interest in it .

Forgive me if I’m wrong but I think @Roger_Lapin gave @David_Spardo a Mac recently :pink_heart:

Ah, I think I remember now, thanks Rachel05 and apologies Roger.

Surely then the answer is David packs up his Apple mac and his i-phone and gives himself a journey out for the day to the nearest Apple store and gets one of the “geniuses” to sort everything out.
I realise “nearest” is a relative term in rural France. I think ours is about 2 hours away.

Nearest is much closer here, 15 kms, but every one sucks up some diesel and thanks to the orange moron it is at a premium at the moment. Maybe in a couple of weeks when I need to go near there to collect the pills keeping Jules sane. Expensive business, living with me, but he takes precedence over everything. :heart_eyes:

Yes, Debby, I was answering David. Just clicked on your post by accident.

BTW, don’t write off the Cloud. It’s a great way to store backups. Having “grown up” in the era when hardware failures were, if not daily, certainly a weekly occurrence I’m a great believer in multiple levels of backup.

Point taken. :wink:

OH worked in IT for a long time, trust me we have multiple external backups, all get updated weekly, ( not by me).
