Just seen this in newspapers and am shocked, well not really as we know there are nutters everywhere these days with a gripe. Its amazing someone hasn’t had a go at him before to be honest.

Absolutely! This will really get support on his side from stupid Americans. Although I feel sorry for the person who died if they were just an attendee. Even if they were a Trump supporter having dodgy political convictions and attending rallies should not get you killed.
But I hope his security people are well paid! I would not risk my life for him.

I think we’re going to see a lot more of that photo - it’s propaganda gold.
Unfortunately it’s a great photo -bloodied, but defiant Trump, and the ‘flag was still there.’
Edit. The more I study the photo the better it gets, fantastic composition like a C19th French heroic painting - Delacroix/Gericault. The secret service man’s gesture accidentally echoes that of Trump, and everything in the photo is red, white or blue. But unlike a painting, this is all composed in a split second while under fire. Probably going to be photo of the year, regardless of who wins the election. And this image of Trump will be endlessly repro’d on every form of merchandise.

Footnote: On another thread several people have said that they don’t know what a ‘meme’ is, I’m sure this image will very rapidly become one.

At least it seems that the man who fired at him was a white american republican…so perhaps a question of mental capacity rather than terrorism/immigrants/etc. Not that this will matter as they’ll lie anyway.

He was lucky the Secret Service didn’t take him out. Ideal cover to get close to Trump.
Heaven knows what repercussions this whole mess will cause.
The shooter had climbed onto a single story building according to eye witness reports. I wonder how many supporters will be willing now to stand behing this man at his rallies. Isn’t usually the good guy who gets assassinated in the US?
