Trying very hard to pay a bill

…but each time they send me one by email in an attachment all I get is a black screen with their logo in it. I plead with them to simply tell me, never mind a facture, just the price!!

All it is is a replacement telecommande for the new electric gates they fitted back in the spring and which had stopped working. I had lost one of the 3 remotes and said I would pay the man when he came to get the gates working again if he brought it with him. But he simply said they will send you a bill but I assumed it was gratis hearing nothing all this time.

Send it via PM to our local IT whizz Billy to have a look?

Could be something on your device doesn’t like the format of the facture attachment.

I’ve just created a thread in Technology about my iphone which is way more important for whizz kids to answer. all these daft people have to do is put it in an email.

They couldn’t send you a physical bills in the post?

Yes of course they could but they seem incapable of doing so. It was so long ago that I thought for such a small item delivered while they were here fixing a bigger problem they might have decided not to charge. In fact I didn’t even recognise the company at first and thought it was spam.

Not a local company you could visit waving a handful of € at them, begging to pay your bill then, I take it?

it could still be… we get several spam emails on the (thankfully) rare occasion OH buys from amazon.. it’s very unsettling.

Not to my mind and habits these days, they are in Perigueux a 100 km round trip for me.

Sounds like adobe strikes again in a browser. If you have a pc save the invoice to your dresktop then open adobe and manually open the file in that…

I’ve told the woman for the umpteenth time that all I gets is a black screen with their logo in it and if they want paying to just send an email with €xx.xx in the text. Let’s hope that gets a result.
