This beautiful dog needs an urgent home…the owners are apparently leaving for the UK in two days and are willing to Euthanize. Temp foster care has been lined up…but it is temporary.

This breed has a short lifespan…perhaps the reason why they are not taking him with them. But someone might be willing to take him on…however short a time he has left.

Oh he is lovely!I bet he is a gentle giant. We have 5 so another would be just one too many, I hope he finds a family to cuddle him!
Having spent over 30 years working with the Old English Rescue nothing suprises me anymore, i have seen and heard every excuse in the book and then some from throwing them out of a car on the motorway to leaving them sitting in the road when moving house, euthanise some of the owners more like
I know. I am not sure of the circumstances…I think they are taking a younger female back, but not this one. I volunteer at a dog rescue and this dog has come to our attention. Im just doing my bit to help!

i do not know the owners myself…the appeal has come through a friend. A dog is a family member… I do not quite understand it.
How can anyone keep a dog for 10 years and then be happy to euthanise it? One of mine is now 16 - the vets were very concerned at his age when he first travelled to France aged 10, because he was so old for a dog of his type. And here he still is 6 years later, albeit a bit incontinent and arthritic. I certainly wouldn't put him to sleep for that though. When his time comes, that's different, but he's a real member of the family. I'd love to help, but my old fella is lots of work at the moment, along with my nutty younger one! Best of luck!
