I should think the person reporting it was interviewed fairly heavily. Another source said she had 2 gites, hoping she was not unlucky with a guest.
If there’s a madman on the loose the location is a bit too close for comfort. I hope the police work out quickly if random nutter, relationship/local issue etc.

I thought i saw an article mention it was a member of her circle another woman . Very sad.
the person being held has since been released after verification of her statement.
The police are still seeking information to identify the (as yet unknown) perpetrator.
Thank you Stella , glad she has been exonerated but scary as someone still walking around who commited this awful crime.
