Is it possible to come to France on a VLS-TS visa, then at a later date, change to a work visa.
I would be coming with my partner on a VLS-TS visa initially , at some point after later, my partner would then maybe want to change to a work visa, is that possible is it difficult to achieve? I would be stayng on the VLS-TS visa
It is theoretically possible, but by all account notoriously difficult/ slow to achieve. What is usually recommended is to return to oneās home country near expiry of current visa and apply for the different one from there.
hmm, May have to rethink that bitā¦once we get there, the āreturn homeā might not be possible.

From what Iāve read, you donāt necessarily have to move āback homeā lock stock and barrel, just make your application from a UK address and attend an interview at the relevant UK location.
But I defer to others who have actually done it on that point.
Exactly, just nip back to the Edinburgh centre and stay for the week/10 days needed to get passport back.
