Voting in UK

I have sent the form for my request for voting by mail, about 10 days ago, stoill got nothing back. ( I sent it registered.) Should I panic?

thank you very much, I will when they resume work, presumably by next Tuesday.

I rung the council offices where I had registered and spoke to the people in the electoral department. They had the forms and we were on the electoral register but the hadn't processed the bit for postal votes at that time. I recieved notification of the postal vote registration about 2-3 weeks later. So just to be on the safe side I would ring them and just check. Could be they have a lot to do,so a bit of a 'bump' about it may help.
