If you are not sure where the mains water pipes are… contact your Water Supplier for an up-to-date site plan.
With the best of intentions… a Mairie might offer a plan…which may be hopelessly out of date or badly marked. If your worker goes through a Water Company pipe… you will be charged with all the expenses incurred…
Absolutely no use saying “the Mairie’s plan was incorrect” … it is up to the Homeowner to contact the Water Supplier and ask for a plan showing where the pipes run…BEFORE starting digging etc…
