We did a good deed over Christmas, but never again

You might like to check the definition of ‘Karma’.

i find it very different, in my local shops im greeted by my name, even the toy shop, shoe shop. often staff in the supermarket come and say bonjour the friendly french way.

One of our friends works for orange customer support English helpline and sh said 90 of brits who ring up are angry at her and just demanding, (bit like how they are treated in the UK)

Lat time i rang up orange support they commented how nice a person I was (lol if only they knew grumpy me)

My point being is often I see brits walk into shops and now answer the greeted Bonjour. I dont think there has been a single occasion ive walked into brico without a hello said to me and the staff inside who are always busy always say hello to everyone.

Yes like anywhere some people do not like us living here, same as english folks in the uk hate other foreigners.

My advice is just make the extra effort no matter who we are or who we are dealing with. make a point of saying bonjour with a big smile and wait for the reply.
