Hi chaps... as some of you probably know we're opening the B & B in april 2014 and I'm putting together packages that we can offer to our guests - If you have a skill that you could teach in two or three days but do not have the rooms to 'bed' people would you let me know - I have one member who is a Reiki Teacher and she can do a two day Reiki course, which I've put on the site - but it would be lovely to be able to offer either different types of massage or indeed different things such as horse riding lessons, painting, cooking, flying, and different types of massage.. etc. etc.... Congratulations on opening your B & B. I'd love to teach French. I'm a French native speaker with 16 years' experience teaching French in London and would like to visit Dordogne one day. So I'm ok paying a smaller fee (depending on your prices/offer) for a room and also teach a few hours of French every day, group or 1 to 1 for people who wish. Exactly Suzy - what I'm looking for are packages that I can offer to my guests i.e. for a 4 nights stay have a two day art course with a professional artist for example... I'm just trying to think outside of the box - and the heading of this discussion is I earn whist the stay in our B & B and the add on earns from extra visitors/students... it's a win win situation - as long as they are close enough and have the equipment to make it work... I love your stuff though so it is a shame you don't live close to us... take care.
Christine,if you're just going to propose these activities to your guests as a little extra while they are with you then I agree it wouldnt work for me,only if you got into doing art hoildays i suppose.Many artists travel to take a 5 day workshop. I can see I'll have to move down there,where its all happening.....
I just would only want you or anyone to do it if it was going to be worth your while financially and whilst I would love to list an artist - they would need to be set up near me with the equipment etc .
I'm a professional artist and would be interested in proposing drawing lessons.I'm not in the area but if it was interesting I could come down for a week.I have friends in Monpazier where I could stay,is that near you?
Hi Fidi - if you either accept the friends request I've sent to you on here, or give me your email address I can send you over our website link and tell you how much it would be... it's a beautiful area with so much to see and do... we hired the entire house last year until we were ready to run it as a B & B and the guests who stayed last June told us of the deer that played in the vines at the bottom of our garden and on a couple of occasions they jumped the fence and came into the orchard ... so wonderful to see nature on your doorstep...
