Anyone remember the Wilt books by Tom Sharpe? Same scenario but buried in concrete …

I do, they were books that made you laugh to yourself, especially (for me) The Throwback

Crikey, haven’t read any Tom Sharpe since the '80s. I must try to find some of them again to read. I think some were made into TV series in the '80s or '90s. I think I remember Porterhouse Blue with David Jason as the titular porter ?
Laugh to yourself…? Nnooo - laugh out loud to the world more like! I remember trying to read them on the tube on way into work - I had to stop as my laughing was quite embarrassing
The books, imo, never translated well into movies.
