Maybe a random question, but what do you think one should offer paying gite and B&B guests in terms of entertainment and internet?
I find that most of our guests bring their own tablets/laptops nowadays, so there’s no question about needing good internet access. But we are wondering if offering smart tv’s where guests can connect their own devices to is enough, or is there still a need for UK satelite TV and off course French TV. Also, are we hopelessly old fashioned if we still offer a DVD library with a player in each room? We’re upgrading soon, and would like to know what other hosts think.

We have Freeview tv, wifi. books, jigsaws and puzzles.
We are thinking of offering the facility of turning off the wifi before our guests come as this seems to be a prevailing trend.
We also have the heated pool, barbecue and space to play outdoor games.
Why would you want a dvd player in each room?
