YES!!! definitely…

They were gorgeous with lots of salt, black pepper and malt vinegar.

I guess there are some benefits to being back in the UK.

Just come back from UK so it’s cheddar cheese on toast, with a slice of pork pie tonight😁

This place has a good reputation… if you are ever down that way…

There’s a brilliant pie and mash shop in Greenwich. It’s called Goddard’s
I brought a couple of Bramley cooking apples back from the uk, apple crumble tonight.

That looks a great place Stella. I love that they just do pie, mash and eels. Might have to plan a visit. :yum:

I made apple crumble yesterday. Going to eat an enormous quantity of it a bit later x

Good grief he not only loses his nether bits… but his crest as well… poor chap… what an indignity…

Nope…did you try them Nellie…???

I’ve been mostly vegetarian for years and even before I went vegetarian was a proper wuss for even trying anything I didn’t like the look of…

I’ve had “dipped egg” for dinner tonight…or “eggy bread”…bread soaked in beaten egg and then fried with grated cheddar cheese…yummy…

My raw fed Border Collies who will eat just about anything raw have had raw rabbit legs and chicken wings and short date frozen sardines…x

Eggs, eh.
If ever you are offered sheep’s eggs, beware. Testicles.

Testicles used to be called sweetbreads in my day. Something of a delicacy as I recall.

What?! Why would anyone want to eat those?!

Thanks for the heads up Vero…lol…I can honestly say that I have never eaten testicles even during my meat eating days…maybe I have missed out on an experience but…

My raw fed Collies used to eat them back in the days when I was able to get whole fur on rabbits for them …the only thing they ever left was the spleen…always amazed me that they could devour a whole wild rabbit and yet spit out or gnaw round the relatively tiny parts they didn’t fancy for whatever reason…

(With any table scraps left over from a Sunday dinner one of my girls would clear up any potato or Yorkshire pud…but would also lick the gravy off all the peas without ever actually eating a pea…x  )

No bones in them? Low fat? Easy to slice, bread-crumb and pan-fry? :hugs:

Lambs Fry.

No I didn’t try them. We found them in a mustard shop in Charroux
Jane is right about the lambs fries. Sweetbreads are the thymus gland
