Hi there, why don’t you have a look at the Lozere, Cevennes ares, same kind of scenery, same possibility of finding an isolated village, hameau. Not too far from the Med, airports etc within a 1h30/2hr drive.

@Paul_Lewis. I happened across a site that might interest you, ONF - the office national des forets - habe a site where they list all their properties for sale. And some are isolated houses in forests…

Just move a fraction further South into the Correze - preferably the Southern part close to
the Dordogne River. Forests, Lakes, Medieval Villages. East Autoroute access South, North and East. Exceptional property prices.
