When talking about cooking …

I made soup tonight and that was just using a stick blender and it’s supplied cup, easy clean up and chops most things including ice. Any good as a suggestion?

I use one of these Mellita grinders to grind spices. As it’s a burr grinder and it can grind very fine and consistently as opposed to blade grinders which don’t.

I received 2 stainless steel bowls with the same cutting blades, not as shown on Amazon fr, with 2 different cutting blades, but that doesn’t matter, I‘m not wanting to grind herbs.

I put in a small handful of almond nuts, about 20, and within a few seconds or so they were reduced to powder.

The instructions say “For whole nuts to powder form, pulse 15 times, then steady for 10 seconds”.

The black tops for the bowls fit tightly so any remaining nut powder will stay relatively fresh.

I’m well satisfied.

So glad I don’t have to work there, but the result seems satisfactory then?
Can you cut the nuts down a bit instead of creating a powder, that would be my interest, as a porridge additive?

Probably got an iron stomach too…

You can watch the results of the grinding while ‘pulsing’ - pressing the top for a couple of seconds - have a look - and then another couple of seconds until you reach your desired result. Takes no time at all - powerfull motor - but depends on how many nuts you put in. Trial and error is the way to go.

Thanks, I’ think I’ll go for it.

I got the 39.99 one - Cuisinart Electric Spice Grinder Spice Grinder Coffee Nut Grinder for Kitchen Electric Two Stainless Steel Bowls with Storage Lids Dishwasher Safe (Blue) : Amazon.fr: Home & Kitchen

Nutella and banana is all you need.

Yes but they’re both soft, need a little bit of crunch too.

@Bonzocat Yes, that is the one that comes from France and the one I’m going for, I buy nothing from the UK site these days. Apart from electronic books of course.

In muesli yes, but not porridge.

A tip. Don’t grind your nuts for too long. A few short pulses was enough to grind half a stainless-steel bowlful of mixed nuts & mixed seeds to powder, which I mixed in with this evening’s salad.

Indeed!

Certainly…

More than happy to follow expert advice.
