No, only seen the 2 I mentioned, but that one I have read about on my lorry drivers’ forum.
I don’t watch much tv but just finished the The Day of The Jackal series and was totally addicted - finished 10 episodes in two sittings which I’ve never done:grin: that’s my tv for the next 6 months ![]()
The one starring Eddie Redmayne? I enjoyed that too.
Yes exactly - great series:+1:
would love to find something else similar to watch if anyone has any suggestions ![]()
I can highly recommend The Night Manager which I watched very recently:
It’s available on BBC iPlayer.
You might also like The Game
Also available on BBC iPlayer
I’ve got A Spy Among Friends to watch at some point
Seems that’s available via Amazon Prime here or with a VPN via itvx here
That’s a great selection @Gareth - thanks alot - very much appreciated:+1:![]()

if any of them are as enjoyable as The Jackal, I can well see another binge session looming:joy:
OH has just spotted that series 2 of the Night Manager is on BBC i-player from 1st January. We’ll certainly be watching.
It’s also on Amazon from 11th January but they seem to be charging for nearly everything now. We used to get some things free.
Us too!
We’ve taken the bait & are re-watching the first series in preparation. I’d forgotten how good everything about it is - great casting, great acting, great direction & a menacing & disturbing plot.
Seconded, it was excellent (was it really 2016 though).
Probably because a new series is due 1st Jan.
I’m looking forward to it.
Have been watching “Jack Irish” recently, just the last episode to go.
Is it any good? Well, it’s Ok if you don’t mind all the characters being self adsorbed to the point of general uselessness - but I don’t think it is to be taken too seriously. It is Australian, after all.
Sorry Billy, I didn’t spot that. ![]()
Just munched through the night manager - excellent - this is fast becoming a habit ![]()
Sorry - didn’t spot what.
Though I failed to spot you’d already mentioned the new series of the Night Manager.
ITV advertising a new second series of Red Eye coming soon The first one was about a UK doctor accused of murder in Hong Kong and being extradited back on a Chinese plane but people were being knocked off during the flight and it was all spies in intelligence behind it in UK etc. Very binge worthy.
I find that I have not watched Netflix for what seems like ages. Got fed up sorting the few good from the bad and in any case find much to interest me on YT these days. Seriously thinking of binning Netflix, YT is free and the adverts don’t bother me as I read my Kindle when they are on.
