Zone Bébé Newsletter - Quaternary Ammonium anyone?

Hello and welcome to this week’s newsletter.

There are several items I would like to present you with this time:

  • Two promotions with essential care

  • New products at Zone Bébé

  • A useful list of ingredients, good and bad.

First things first – in cooperation with essential care, Zone Bébé is offering a free essential care organic lip silk with 95% organic ingredients (worth 7.50€) absolutely free

for any purchase of an essential care organic Avocado Replenishing Cream with 95% organic ingredients - a sumptuous aroma therapeutic night or rich day cream with

nature's finest contribution to smoothing out lines and promoting skin regeneration. @ 25€.

As long as stocks last.

And treat yourself to some wonderful essential care body wash such as Ylang Ylang & Orange, Lavender or Aloe Vera, at 10% off.

This week I also have a new product to present to you as it is the season for the little critters that at times occupy the warm scalp of our children:

essential care Organic Hair Lice Therapy oil, 70ml @ 12.50€: a combination of potent pure essential oils, all of which have a long tradition of use for the natural treatment

of head lice with a pleasant smell.

Also do not forget we have now a very nice selection of greeting cards, made from recycled paper and printed with vegetable-based ink. 10% of the profit made by Floris, maker of these cards, is reinvested in free hospitals in India.

And with that I leave you to ponder the attached list of ingredients, their Latin names found in the INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) declarations of all cosmetics and where they come from, what they do in a cream or lotion. This list also contains 10 ingredients, marked in red, that should ideally be avoided as they pose risks to health and environment. These 10 will never be found in organic cosmetic.

Cosmetic ingredients list

Please let me know whether you find a list like that useful, so I can keep perfecting it.

A very good website to keep an eye on is Rita Stiens’ La Verite sur les cosmetiques, and the good thing is, it exists in German, English and French. This lady has put together an enormous amount of information about different topics in the cosmetics sector. She analyses products and reports about hot topics such as Nanotechnology in sun tan cream. She also has an ingredient check, which lets you check whether a certain ingredient is to be recommended or not.

Have a great week.
