Anyone used a English solicitor in a French property purchase?

We were advised it had to be done at the same time as you purchase your first property in France.

We have two daughters, but it means that should one of us die, the other spouse inherits totally and children have to take their turn.

Money well spent for piece of mind, even if they found nothing IMO.

Just made sure neither of you die pre retirement then.
