Thank you! I’ll be zipping back and forth, I haven’t found somewhere I like yet and I’m not selling my house here, but I’m getting sorted. Much to my and everybody else’s surprise I got exactly what I asked for from the Rectorat, so I’ll officially cease to be a fonctionnaire d’Etat on the 1st of September.

You are the voice of sanity for the French view of things round here Vero. As well as having an amazing knowledge of many things including your own experience in other cultures, even Scottish 
. And sometimes, that briskness and lack of time for nonsense that I suspect those attending French education are familiar with

I would, but I work full time & weekends are taken up with mundane shopping & housework. I also live in rural Gironde it’s difficult to get to Bordeaux, I have a phobia of driving on motorways after a car accident.
However, once in a while why not

Yes, there is a lot of political stuff on here as well as anywhere, that is part and parcel of life! Mostly on this forum the subject matter is channeled in various topics.
I’ve never seen anti American sentiment on here. Can you post some examples ? To back up your post!
