As predicted, Starmer's an ass, or should that be arse šŸ¤”

You mean a second bite?
After what they did already ?

My point precisely.

Youā€™ll be pleased to hear, sheā€™s out.

I thought it was a strange and contentious appointment in the first place but it looks as though she lost the power struggle with Morgan McSweeney who will take her place. With Simon Case also leaving soon itā€™s all change for Starmerā€™s advisors and heā€™s already made some additional appointments. Maybe this will stop the internal squabbles at No.10.

Will Gray have to take a pay cut given that her new role is relatively insignificant?

Clones ?

Not in my opinion. Macron has his faults, but heā€™s been president for seven years without a major slip up (personally, I support his taking the fight to the far right). Starmer IMO has been a disaster since day one, as predicted. Well at least since he clobbered the OAPs. Gray leaving is just another disaster. He needs to take back control :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

It better be the budget to beat all budgets, a tour de force.

Without a major slip up ?

The man has been a 7 year disaster of slip ups. He has polled lower than any other European leader since he was elected.

And now he has bankrupt France. Which we are all now have to pay for according to Barnier.

The French government is in a messā€¦
worse than the UK.

On the bright side, I do think Starman will catch him up to be the biggest political idiot in Europe.

Clones ! Yep.

I couldnā€™t disagree with you more, so Iā€™ll just leave it there if you donā€™t mind :slightly_smiling_face:

Hmmmā€¦

The scenes last night with Bardella in Nice was something from America.

So yeah we will have to disagree.

UK politics is in a messā€¦France is on another level. IMHO.

Heā€™s well surpassed him in that imo, Starmerā€™s ā€˜standing 4 square with Israelā€™ comment was outrageous where as Macron has called for an arms embargo of the rogue state, earning him a much covetted ā€˜he should be ashamed of himselfā€™ from the war criminal of Jerusalem. Talk about pot and kettle.

I follow the policy of ā€˜If you donā€™t like where you are living, then moveā€™. Trouble is, after several moves you may find the common denominator for complaint is in the mirror.

Is that the same for those queuing up in Calais fleeing war and oppression to move to the UK on a sinkable inflatable?

A nasty line of thought.

Not really, no one should have to move or flee from a place they enjoy living because of self centered, self appointed politicians or dictators.

They shouldnā€™t have to but some are driven out. Pity there isnā€™t more empathy towards immigrants wherever they seek to land.

Have we taken into account the impact of Covid on (any) nationā€™s finances snd how lucky we were to be in the much better organised France through that time?

Both Netanyahu and Trump need to be kept in office to avoid going to jail.
Giving your full support to people like this is appalling and Netanyahu has undoubtedly sanctioned war crimes.

If you removed the words immigrants or migrants from the conversation no one would know or care who who they are. They are just people.

Folk (well the older generation) need to accept they we now live in a multicultural world and we are all better for it. Kids today donā€™t care. Multiculturalism is the nor for them.

Anyway, Starman and Macron want to smash the gangs. OK send a boat to Northern France and pick everyone up and take them free of charge to the UK. We could do it this afternoon. The smuggling gangs are now smashed.

People are now safe.

Iā€™m pretty sure that wasnā€™t directed at me, @Jane_Williamson , but by replying to my post like that it might look like it to people who donā€™t know better.

Is that a joke? Or is my assumption that you meant England wrong?
